Step 1 - Initial consultation

I will send you a questionnaire to help me understand your requirements. Then we meet in your garden to explore your particular site conditions and learn more about your garden preferences. I will take photographs and measurements. This initial consultation takes around 90 minutes and costs $150/hour plus travel time beyond Goulburn.

Then I will send you a client brief, summarising your requirements and outlining the process, time frame and cost. Upon your acceptance of the client brief I will start designing your garden.

Step 2 - Design stage

I will send you two concept sketches. Each sketch is drawn to scale and shows indicative positions of plantings and hardscapes as well as suggested materials. It is accompanied by images to help with visualisation.

You choose your preferred option and any modifications.

Then I will prepare a detailed landscape plan based upon your feedback. It is to scale, and shows layout of garden elements, specifies materials and plant siting and quantities by botanical and common name. A plant list to help with ordering is also included.

This plan is the final design product. It can be given to landscapers or builders for quoting and installation.

This service typically costs $3,300 for a standard residential block of 600 - 1000 square metres. Smaller or larger blocks will be priced individually and agreed in advance.

Step 3 - Optional post-design stage

For clients who require further modifications to the design, ongoing advice or support during construction, I am available to support your project to completion at $150 / hour.

For those who would like support to imagine or re-imagine their planting. This service is all about the plants, and does not include built elements such as paths or pergolas. I can help you choose the flowering plants, shrubs, trees, natives that are right for you.
