Learn to use the tools of permaculture - thoughtful observation, exploration and design - to transform your home into a productive space.
This 9 week course will be divided into 2 parts. In the first 5 weeks we will discuss permaculture ethics, principles and concepts and see how these are applied in two local gardens. We will delve into the Goulburn bioregion and how to create abundance with the soils and climate we have.
The last four weeks will focus on a design project of your choice. We will prepare a base map of your site, apply the permaculture zones, explore limits and threats, and give you time and support to prepare a strong design.
Each week there will be a short plant chat and a practical activity held in the Goulburn Community Garden next door.
When: Over 9 Thursday evenings from 16 October to 11 December 2025. From 6 - 8pm.
Where: Wesley Centre, 43 Goldsmith Street Goulburn
Cost: $450
